Description of the Ship

The "Oost-Vlieland" was built in 1926 in Makkum for fishing on the Dutch coastal waters. Nowadays, the ship can accommodate 10 people. In the winter of 2016/2017, the former skipper of the Bisschop van Arkel "Erik" restored the ship and made it shine again. The lower deck is divided in five double cabins, a large dayroom and plenty of deck space. The Oost-Vlielamd offers privacy and a great comfort for the guests.

The Oost-Vlieland is particularly suitable for families with children and small groups who are looking for a very special sailing experience. With the ship owner "Erik" you’ll find an always good-humored, helpful and very experienced skipper on board. It is well appreciated if you help hoisting the sails and the control may be taken over by every passenger on board.

Come on board and convince yourself of the very special charm of the ship and its crew.
