Stortemelk

The STORTEMELK was laid in 1961 as "North Sea fishermen" on Kiel. After 32 years in fishing, the decisive turn came and it was rebuilt in 1993 to a sailing ship. Under the supervision of the strict Dutch shipping inspection a beautiful and fast schooner was created.

The STORTEMELK owes its name to the turbulent waters between the Dutch Wadden Islands Terschelling and Vlieland. The strait with its shoals between these two islands seemed like foaming milk (Stortemelk) with an ongoing tide and wind from northwest.

The sleek lines and effective rigging give the "Stortemelk" the simple sportiness, while the luxurious interior is characterized by comfort.

In the winter of 2015/2016, the Stortemelk was rebuilt extensively with great passion for detail. The conversion has created a completely new sanitary area and three larger double cabins.

Now, spacious cabins accommodate 6x2 and 3x3 people. The berth sizes are 80x200 cm and three bunks have a dimensions of 110-130x200cm. As a result, three cabins can be used as a 3-bed cabin. All cabins have hot / cold water, central heating and a power point.
