In 1902 the schooner was built entirely out of wood and served as a fishing vessel. As a so-called "outpost cutter" it was considered a fast ship which brought the herring catch directly to the fish auction.
55 years later, the wooden hull was replaced by a steel one. In 1998, the two-masted schooner 'Twister' was converted into a luxurious sailing ship with the appearance of a yacht.
On board of this fast open sea schooner every guest will experience a hospitable, comfortable and sportive sailing trip: at the helm, on deck or in the cozy wheelhouse. The well-equipped accommodation also makes it an ideal ship for families. With its modern rigging and beautiful shape the 'Twister' is at home on all oceans: regardless of the IJsselmeer, the North Sea or the Baltic Sea.
